Another snow day in Columbus. But this time, we’re passing on the comfort food and warming ourselves up with some booze. A Moscow mule is one of my favorite cocktails. With just a couple of ingredients, you can whip up an impressive, tasty drink.
You can find ginger beer in the beer section of most grocery stores. If you’ve never had it, it’s honestly pretty delicious on its own. But throw in some vodka and lime and you’ve got a refreshing, easy cocktail.
There are also several variations you can make on this classic cocktail. Replace the vodka with bourbon for a Kentucky mule or mix your ginger beer with rum for a dark and stormy. If ginger beer is involved, you’ll probably be happy with the results.
- 5 oz. ginger beer
- 2 oz. vodka
- Juice from one lime wedge
- Combine all ingredients in a copper mug over ice
It doesn’t get much easier than that!
